The Multiprobe CRYOGENIC UHV System is a turn-key system solution for the Cryogenic SFM or for the Cryogenic STM and allows for high performance SPM experiments in high magnetic fields and low temperature below 3K (4He version) or 500mK (3He version).
The 4He version employs an Oxford variable temperature insert (VTI) to access any temperature between base temperature and 300K. The system features an integrated 4He or 3He UHV bottom loader cryostat (Oxford Instruments) which is available in two standard magnet configurations: 6T in vertical directions or as full 3D vector magnet. Various other magnet configurations up to 12T are available on request. The UHV system is based on an air damped rigid frame including a motorised transfer of the microscope into the cryostat as well as in-vacuum tip/sample transfer facilities. In the basic version, the system is equipped with a load-lock chamber for tip/sample introduction, whereas extended versions allow for dedicated sample preparation and surface analysis techniques.
