Pd Microstructures on Si
Pd microstructures on Si
The image of the sample surface has been obtained with a threshold excitation lamp. (g-Arc lamp, operating at 4.9 eV)

Due to the presence of oxide at the silicon surface, Si appears DARK ( W >> 4.9 eV) and Pd appears BRIGHT (W = 5.12 eV ~ 4.9 eV)
